General Info for Fabric to Fashion Families

Online Members Area:

On our website, we have a “members only” section. Here you will be able to view your transaction history, enrollment, contacts, etc. If you have a question about your auto-pay account, please check your account first before you call. If you do not know your password, our system will email you a temporary password.

Calendar:

We hand out the FtoF Calendar in September. If you did not receive one, we keep extra copies in our lobby. Or you can view it at fabrictofashionsewingschool.com/ftofcal

Attendance and Tardiness

If your child is sick for a group class, you do not need to call in to let us know unless their absence means they will have been gone 2 or more consecutive weeks. If you miss a class, feel free to attend any open class we offer for a make-up. You can schedule a makeup by logging into your member portal. If no one shows for class, the teacher will wait 30 mins. After 30 mins the class will be canceled.

After Class Pick Up / Safety:

The safety of all of our students at Fabric to Fashion is very important to us. Please make sure a parent or guardian is present at the end of every class to pick up your student. Your child is unsupervised and we cannot be responsible for them after their class has ended. Transition periods between classes allow our teachers to get mandated breaks and we want to make sure every student is safe and taken care of.

Extreme Weather Days:

Fabric to Fashion will decide if we will remain open during serious storms. An email will be sent to all families by 3 pm if we decide to close Monday-Friday.

Automatic Tuition Withdrawal Details:

All tuition payments are charged to the credit card or bank account you put on file with us.

Charges will happen on the 1st of every month to pay for the month. If your card cannot be run and is not updated by the 10th of the month, a $10 late fee will be charged and enforced on all accounts past due.  Late notices will be sent via email.

We will post your tuition payment on the 15th of every month. If you plan to drop your class you must let us know by the 20th of the month before, so we have time to process your request in the system and fill the seat in the class.

Tuition is not pro-rated for absences or studio closures.  Some months have extra classes and some have less. We keep the rate consistent.
December is the one exception. That is pro-rated for holiday closure. We do not pro-rate for Spring Break as we use those funds for the end of the year fashion show instead of charging extra fees!

Withdrawal Policy:

To withdraw from any classes a parent or guardian must complete and sign a withdrawal form online by the 20th of the previous month to discontinue any classes.

If you do NOT notify us during the previous month, tuition will be charged on the 1st and cannot be refunded.

End of the Year Fashion Show!

All students who enroll by April and stay through the end of May are able to participate in our end of the year fashion show in May. This gives all our students the opportunity to show off their favorite items they made during the school year!

More info TBA.

Additional Class Info:

  • Please arrive no earlier than 10 mins to class. Doors may be locked if you arrive earlier than 10 mins.

  • Please bring a water bottle, if needed. We do not have a water fountain on the premises. No food is permitted in the main studio since we work with fabric and expensive machines.

  • No trials, walk ins or single drop in classes for sewing are available at this time.

  • Late Arrivals (more than 30 minutes) to any class, camp or workshop could potentially forfeit the class. For weekly classes all teachers are asked to wait 30 mins, but then can close the class for the day.

  • You can make up 4 classes over the entire school year. Makeups expire after 3 months. You cannot makeup classes after you drop the class. Makeups must be done while enrolled, as they are tracked in your parent portal!

  • You can schedule a makeup two weeks in advance. You can also plan ahead for classes you know you will be missing by marking your student absent in the portal and scheduling a makeup.

  • We must get 36 hours notice for scheduling makeups as its important for staffing the classes correctly.
