Before we talk about everything you’ll learn, let’s talk about who this class is for…

Whether you’re:

A newbie to the world of sewing (Even thinking about sewing on a button makes you sweat) Maybe your grandma used to sew and the idea of it always seemed really cool, but starting something from scratch is overwhelming and time consuming.

The owner of a sewing machine! You even bough a book or two… but you took the sewing machine out of the box (or maybe you didn’t even do that yet) and it was really intimidating OR something went wrong immediately. You made a project or two in high school and can’t quite remember everything… you know you just need that jumping off point and a little guidance to get you started.

A hobbyist Sewer who is self taught. You know how to do one straight stitch and you ran with it making all kinds of little projects! But you know you’re missing out on more advanced stuff because you haven’t learned the ins and outs of the machine or proper sewing terminology.

You’re ambitious, but haven’t had enough time or energy to research sewing machines or sit down and learn your own. You know you have a manual, but who wants to spend Saturday reading a manual? You really want to jump in feet first…

You’re in the right place and I’m going to share with you how our Learn to Sew and Love It class will give you the proper tools, inspiration, and unparalleled support on your journey to becoming sewing machine savvy.

By the end of this 4 week class
you will have…

  • Confidently thread and set up a sewing machine all on your own

  • Understand commonly used sewing terms like seam allowance, handwheel, and a presser foot. Giving you the key to decode any future projects you jump into.

  • Expertly inserted a zipper. You realize zippers are not that scary. In fact you may LOVE putting them in.

  • Crafted 3 practical projects you can make again and again.

  • Solved the 3 most common reasons your machine is “acting up” and fix them immediately.

  • A list of sewing machine recommendations for all price ranges - casual hobby to professional (online purchase or in person!)

“I never thought about learning how to sew only because I was too afraid… It felt like to much of an advanced hobby for me. I was always curious and Noelle showed me you can do several things on a sewing machine with just the basics of sewing. I’ve been sewing ever since!”
- Hanna Rainsford

“She always made me feel confident in learning and now I’m creating clothes for myself!”

    Courtney

“Whenever I encounter a sewing obstacle or question, Noelle is the first person I ask. Her teaching style is not only approachable, but modern, practical and easy-to-follow. She knows all the technical rules and terms, but also how to get things done without them. She is the perfect teacher for the modern sewist!”

    Belinda

“I never had any interest in sewing, but Noelle’s passion motivated me to dabble & have fun in it. My favorite thing about her is not only her personality, but I appreciate her sharing the narrative that mistakes are common, happen quite often & at times can create beeauty in spite of it not being by the book. I wholeheartedly recommend her since she makes it so silly, fun, and knowledgeable. For me, not focusing on perfection, but creation is what the world needs more of. Thank you Noelle for everything you put out in the world the way you do. Allowing vulnerability & fun out of expression in the best ways.”

“Noelle is an amazing teacher and so fun to work with. She breaks down the basics in a way that is clear, concise, and super easy to follow. Her wonderfully eclectic and colorful styles make every project interesting!”

I always wanted to learn how to make my own clothes. I bought the books and fabric and then… I quit twice. It always got too confusing!

It was frustrating starting out alone. I didn’t have a ton of free time… and when I had free time I didn’t want to get a headache trying to re-thread my sewing machine. Thankfully, I found the right resources to get me on track and began to teach myself bit by bit. Then eventually taking college classes in fashion design, pattern making, and alterations to expand my knowledge.

I built this 6 week class so I can help you get started without all the hurtles. It’s a crash course to set you up for whatever you decide to learn next. Sewing has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. It isn’t always easy, but I promise you will feel like a badass once you complete your first few projects.
